Trip to Atlantis

Derek earned a trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas with work. It had been 6 years since he and I took a vacation together, alone. So, it was much deserved and much appreciated.  His parents graciously took our three children and puppy while we went. 

With the upcoming surgery and move, I felt almost apprehensive about going - almost. Once I was able to pray about things and just let God have control, I had a very nice time. It was relaxing and busy all at the same time.

The resort is enormous.  We spent a lot of time walking around taking in everything. We spent another chunk of time in the "lazy" river. It wasn't really that lazy of a river because it had rapids and big water slides attached to it. FUN!! Another bit of time was taken learning to use our camera. I recently had a personal photography lesson, and we both enjoyed using uninterrupted time improving our skills. It was a wonderful time to connect with each other. We also both spent a little time on our own which was very nice, too.
